Ashes and Snow
Ashes and Snow is a photo and video installation that is currently touring the world. The exhibition is by photographer Gregory Colbert and Collaborators. Most of the photos display interactions between animals and humans. These images are just so beautiful, and I don't mean to be cheesy, but they take my breath away.
Says Colbert: "In exploring the shared language and poetic sensibilities of all animals, I am working towards rediscovering the common ground that once existed when people lived in harmony with animals. The images depict a world that is without beginning or end, here or there, past or present."

Erin Hanson
Erin Hanson's photography is very simple and beautiful. I especially loved her BW photography. Also, her "Reminders" project is perfect for any college student, I feel. I should put up reminders like that too!

Joel-Peter Witkin
This photographer focuses many of his photographs on the subject of deformities and the human body. Much of his subjects are dead human body parts. What I find to be the most fascinating/disturbing is that this guy is still alive and making these photographs. These photographs look like they could be from a long time ago, yet they are mostly from the 2000's.
